News » Dr. Wen Wang selected for the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Meetings on Microbiological Risk Assessment (JEMRA)

On 27 January 2023, FAO/WHO announced the membership list of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Meetings on Microbiological Risk Assessment (JEMRA). Dr Wang Wen, the head of Risk Assessment Group in poultry project, has been selected to be part of JEMRA Roster of Experts for a period of five (5) years (2023.01-2027.12).

   Dr. Wen Wang is currently an associate professor at Institute of Agro-Product Safety and Nutrition, Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China. She obtained her PhD degree from Zhejiang University, one of the top universities in China. She has been forcusing on the research of monitoring and risk assessment as well as control of foodborne pathogens in livestock and poultry. She is now a member of JEMRA and the Food Hygiene Branch of Chinese Preventive Medical Association. She is also a member in the Eidtor Board of the journal Frontiers in Microbiology. During the past five years, Dr. Wang has published over 40 articles as a role of the first or the corresponding author, and she has also published three books in both Chinese and English. She has been authorized for eight patents, and twelve software copyrights.
