Dr. Aimin (Frank) Liu is the project manager for project “Improving food safety of pork supply chain in China at the University of Minnesota. He was former Director of China Program Office in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at the University of Minnesota and Program Director of the Leman China Swine Conference from 2021 to 2020. His other work experiences in CVM include 8 years in the University of Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and 1 year in the Center for Animal Health and Food Safety. Dr. Liu had 5 years of postdoctoral research experience at the University of Minnesota and published about40 peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts, book chapters, and edited books. From 2004-2006. He co-founded and was the CEO of a biotechnology start-up from 2004-2007. From 1998-2001, he worked as the Head of Agriculture Division and Regional Project Coordinator in a UNCTD-affiliated international organization in Southeast Asia. Dr. Liu has been actively participated in swine-related education and outreach activities and served as consultant for pig producers in China.
