Dr. Jianhan Lin is now a full professor and associate dean at the China Agricultural University. He received his bachelor degree of electronic engineering, master, and Ph. D. degrees of agricultural engineering at China Agricultural University in 2001, 2004 and 2007, respectively. Since October, 2007, he started to work on biosensors for pathogen detection with Dr. Yanbin Li at the University of Arkansas as postdoctoral researcher and senior scientist. In June, 2011, he joined Jiangyin Aibit Biotech company as chief technology officer to commercialize his impedance biosensor. He returned to China Agricultural University in December, 2012 and established his biosensor lab to develop various biosensors for bacteria and virus detection to ensure food safety and prevent animal diseases. His research interests include biosensors, microfluidic chips and magnetic separators. In recent years, Dr. Lin has published more than 50 peer-review papers and 15 invention patents, and serves as editor for Transactions of the ASABE and Biosensors journals.
