Dr. Chase Rainwater joined the industrial engineering faculty at the University of Arkansas (UA) in 2009 where he is currently a Professor after earning his PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in 2009 and his Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering (IE) from UA in 2004.  His contributions to IE research include more than 30 published journal articles, conference papers and book chapters.  His work has been supported through more than over $20M in research funding.  His research interests include supply chain logistics, machine learning and food safety.  He is a member in the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences and the Industrial and Systems Engineering Research Conference.  He was awarded the UA IE Outstanding Teaching Award in 2012, 2014 and 2015, the Outstanding IE Faculty Member in 2017, the College of Engineering Collaborative Research Faculty Award in 2018 and the UA IE Outstanding Research Award in 2019.
